About This Beach
Oneuli Beach is a secluded black sand beach in Maui, accessible via a bumpy dirt road. Its unique dark sand, often described as black or dark brown, contrasts with the surrounding red lava cliffs. While offering excellent snorkeling opportunities, the beach has limited amenities (a porta-potty is usually present) and rough waters, making it unsuitable for young children or weak swimmers. Visitors consistently praise its peaceful and uncrowded atmosphere.
