Dangerous Surf: High waves present from 6 PM-11 PM — swimming not recommended
Kamehameha Beach, located on Hickam Air Force Base, is a unique shallow-water beach prized for its calm waters and family-friendly atmosphere. The extremely shallow water extends far out, making it perfect for young children and wading, while the lack of significant waves creates a peaceful ambiance. While lacking extensive amenities, it offers picnic areas, some shade, and convenient parking, and is often described as uncrowded.
